BlueSpice 5 is a major release.

  • BlueSpice 5 bundles the MediaWiki LTS (Longterm support) version MW 1.43
  • BlueSpice 5 is PHP 8.3 compatible

BPMN diagrams The extension CognitiveProcessDesigner has been fully reworked. Users now have the option to create BPMN-diagrams that create wiki pages in the background.

PDF Export The PDF export is now based on a new PDF processor backend.

Administrators can create and maintain multiple PDF templates directly in the wiki. Server-access is no longer required. PDF export documentation

Simple blog page We included a new simplified blogging and discussion system with commenting and voting features.

It replaces the BlueSpiceSocial extensions.

Blog and discussion entries do not carry over to BlueSpice 5. You need to start new blogs and discussions. If you used these features extensively in previous versions, talk to your project manager before updating your system to discuss possible migration scenarios.
